The people behind flow are also the ones behind CryptoKitties which launched in 2017 on Ethereum. However, CyrptoKitties was in such high demand that is congested the network caused a major problem consumers.
The team behind CryptoKitties, Dapper Labs, started working on Flow as a way to create a better layer 1 solution.
Now, Flow is home to many popular consumer NFT websites and projects such as NBA Top Shot, NFT All Day, UFC Strike and much more. It will be very interesting to see the future of Flow and what Dapper Labs can release.
