Abstract of Talk: This talk on “India’s Initiative on Leveraging Blockchain” will highlight the various efforts being made at the national, state, and organizational levels to promote the use of blockchain technology in India. The talk will also highlight the potential target applications of blockchain technology in India, including e-governance, digital identity management, trade finance, supply chain management, and healthcare. It will provide an overview of the challenges and opportunities of implementing blockchain technology in India and discuss the potential impact of blockchain on various sectors.
It will be of interest to anyone interested to work in the blockchain technology domain.
Speaker Biography: Dr. Pranav Kumar Singh (Senior Member, IEEE) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, India. He is currently Dean of Alumni and External Relations at CITK. He has over 15 years of teaching experience and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Guwahati. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Singh has also served as a Nodal Officer for the National Knowledge Network (NKN) and IPv6 Road Map of CITK, an initiative by the Government of India. He has also been a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for various national and international conferences and is an active reviewer for several top journals. Dr. Singh has published around 50 journal articles and conference papers, and his research interests include security and privacy, software-defined vehicular networking, QoS and QoE in wireless communication, intelligent transportation systems, blockchain, and the IoT.
