From DeFi to ReFi: Can Blockchain Technology Regenerate The World?

About this Event: Blockchain technology provides a wide range of tools to change how environmental and social challenges can be tackled: From NFTs to DAOs and Tokenomics. A broader, blockchain-native community evolved under Regenerative Finance (ReFi), building impact use cases at the intersection of web3 and sustainability.

ReFi has many use cases beyond tokenizing real-world assets like carbon credits on the blockchain. For example, using digital currency, such as natural capital-backed assets, ReFi can ascribe value to habitat restoration or biological diversity. Further use cases range from building bankless infrastructure for circular trade economies that benefit small businesses to providing access to capital at low-interest rates or against natural collateral to the unbanked.

This panel discussion will explore and elaborate on projects already yielding a tangible impact today and other trends being built on the intersection of web3 and climate. We will also discuss various tools within web3 and why they can provide different solutions to global environmental and social challenges.

Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion on the future of ReFi, elaborating on the following questions:
– What is Regenerative Finance (ReFi)?
– What benefits does blockchain technology yield in ReFi?
– Which tools are available to build around the concept of ReFi?
– What are already existing use cases creating a tangible impact today?
– What are the most promising use cases of ReFi?

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the panelists.
