CRYPTOUNIT BLOCKCHAIN: IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION ON KEEPING THE PERSONAL SEED PHRASE SAFE

15.03.2021 17:44

Dear partners!
Congratulations on the opportunity to switch to the Cryptounit blockchain and successfully complete your first steps on it!
We ask you to take special care in saving your personal SEED phrase and wallet address when you first switch to the blockchain from the CRU PA.
Please note that the following errors sometimes occur:

when copying the wallet address and SEED phrase from the Personal Account, partners paste the data into a Word text editor or notepad. At the same time, the text editor makes auto-correction to the words and the SEED phrase changes.

Remember that the order and correct spelling of words is extremely important, and even one wrong letter can cause you to lose the ability to login to your blockchain wallet.
For example, the partner’s wallet address began with a small letter i, and auto-correction corrected this letter to capital I, but l looks like a small letter L. Accordingly, when the partner manually enters the wallet address data on the blockchain, the system notifies that such an account does not exist.

Another case when partners do not make sure to copy extra spaces in front of the wallet address:

Also, when writing out words on a sheet of paper manually, partners make grammatical mistakes, and one wrong letter makes it impossible for them to get into the wallet.

For example, out of 12 words, the partner wrote out 2 words with errors: instead of alarm, wrote dlarm, instead of search, wrote scarch. If you have vision problems (recognizing words on the screen), then be sure to seek help only from your relatives, as this important process cannot be entrusted to strangers.
We recommend that you take a photo on your phone or a screenshot of the screen and save the photo in the same document where you wrote out or copied the words of the phrase and the wallet address before entering the SEED phrase in the field of your personal account.
