We continue to strive harder to give the best experience to our members. Our plans for this year includes:
– Help our members companies to be more visible in the industry, attract players and make revenue
– Develop new initiatives to support the industry and expanding our core activities
– Launch more networking opportunities: virtual networking, physical meetups and industry dinners
– Promote games and projects by giving them more visibility towards a broader audience.
– Engage further in showing, adopting and trading non-fungibles tokens to showcase the potential uses of these digital assets,
– Develop more training resources and accelerate the onboarding for new entrants
– Raise individual and businesses awareness about how blockchain can transform games and improve or disrupt existing business areas.
– Catalyze efforts into creating actionable industry standards and best practices.

Highlights of 2020
– We have organized more than 30 events in the past year! The BGA showcases its members’ products, knowledge and expertise in the blockchain gaming industry through the following events:
BGA Game Demo Day – Two full days of live presentations from some of the most inspiring projects from the Blockchain Gaming Industry
Interviews with Industry Leaders and Video Games Executives – Learn and draw inspiration straight from the industry leaders and executives!
– Workshops on Thematics
– New Members Presentations – monthly presentation to introduce new BGA members to the blockchain community.
– Women Inclusive Dedicated Events – an initiative from the BGA to highlight the Women of Blockchain Gaming, NFTs and Digital Arts
– Collecting NFTs Series – a closer take on non-fungible tokens, how it became and how it’s shaping the future

Despite the challenges, the BGA rose to the occasion through activating platforms for connection building and networking. With its growing membership, the coming year will be about bridging more gaps within the vast gaming industry.

For Sébastien Borget, the new president of BGA since March, he is hopeful that members felt how the organization is a platform to build meaningful connections that will strengthen the industry. “I’ve focused on making [the] Blockchain Game Alliance a more proactive organization that different people coming from varying backgrounds like gaming, art, media, law, and developers could connect and network,” he shares.

A total of 34 events led by 176 speakers were streamed across different platforms which totaled 15,236 views. A clear indication that BGA’s commitment to raising public awareness and understanding of blockchain technology is being successfully rolled out amid the challenging time the world is in.

With a total of 128 new members this year, this brings the total number of new members to 169. Further breaking it down, 117 company members, 6 gold sponsors, 6 silver sponsors, and 40 individual members brings the total to 169 BGA members.
