On May 22nd, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz, U.S. programmer and Bitcoin fan, tried using Bitcoins to exchange for goods. He mentioned on a Bitcoin forum that he wanted to swap 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas worth $25.
A British volunteer made the deal with Hanyecz and received 10,000 Bitcoins. This was the first time Bitcoin had a price attached to it and this created a huge stir among the Crypto community.
To commemorate this deal, May 22nd become โ€œBitcoin Pizza Dayโ€, where enthusiasts gather to celebrate by eating pizza. Going by the current price of Bitcoin, the two pizzas are now worth more than 100 million US dollars.
Mr Hanyecz is probably somewhere crying his heart out.

Le 22 mai 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz, un programmeur amรฉricain et fan de Bitcoin, a essayรฉ d’utiliser des jetons bitcoin pour รฉchanger des biens. Il a postรฉ une annonce sur un forum Bitcoin indiquant qu’il souhaitait รฉchanger 10 000 jetons contre deux pizzas d’une valeur de 25 dollars.
Un volontaire britannique a conclu la transaction avec Hanyecz et a reรงu 10 000 bitcoins en รฉchange. C’รฉtait la premiรจre fois qu’un prix รฉtait associรฉ ร  des jetons bitcoin, ce qui a suscitรฉ un vif รฉmoi au sein de la communautรฉ crypto.
D’ailleurs, pour commรฉmorer cette toute premiรจre transaction, le 22 mai est devenu la Journรฉe “Bitcoin Pizza”, oรน les amateurs de Bitcoin de tous les pays, nous nous rassemblons pour cรฉlรฉbrer en mangeant une pizza.
Rendez-vous compte, selon le cours du Bitcoin, ces deux pizzas valaient dix ans plus tard plus de 100 millions de dollars !
