First up,
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy in partnership with Domineum Blockchain Solutions a leading Distributed Ledger Technology Company in Africa is set to host a one-day National digital economy awareness event tagged: “BLOCKCHAIN DAY” happening on the 26th of October during the Annual Digital Nigeria International Conference and Exhibition happening from the 25th to the 27th of October 2022 with the target audience of over 2000 Blockchain enthusiast in Abuja.

Meanwhile,
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has continued to intensify efforts at spreading the advantage of Africa’s first Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), tagged the eNaira for business transactions across the country. 
The e-Naira was formally launched by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Aso Villa on Monday October 25, 2021 and the apex bank has unveiled a programme of events to commemorate the first anniversary of the launch. 
As part of activities lined up to mark the first anniversary of the eNaira, the Central Bank of Nigerian is holding a one-day workshop themed “Leveraging Innovation for Inclusive Growth and Development: The eNaira Advantage” scheduled to take place on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Also,
Pan-African cryptocurrency leader, Yellow Card has made another significant stride in the industry, becoming the first cryptocurrency company on the continent to be granted a Virtual Asset Service Provider licence to operate in Botswana. The licence, in accordance with Section 11 of the Virtual Asset Act, 2022, was issued by the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority [NBFIRA] on the 29th of September 2022 and will become the standard for crypto operations in the country.
Chris Maurice, CEO and co-founder of Yellow Card, says that this is a monumental moment for the company, its customers, investors and the crypto industry as a whole as it positively impacts everyone across the value chain.
