India is at the forefront of cotton cultivation in the world. The area under cotton cultivation in India has expanded from 10.5 million hectares to 12.20 million hectares, which is about 37% part of the world area.
Piyush Goyal stated at the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) conference that the use of blockchain technology is being studied to improve the traceability of cotton from the farm to the global market. It will be tested, and over time, it will be expanded.
