What is Blockchain?
You probably may have seen some videos or read some articles about blockchain but you might still be confused about the basic fundamentals. Blockchain is what we often call a “distributed ledger” (or digital ledger) but all that means is to digitally track ownership of assets in a way that no one can alter. This is important because if you’re in the government or have a company or business or you’re an individual who controls a ledger that shows the assets and who owns what, people can edit that ledger including the terms or any information in there and blockchain is created to prevent that. In short, it’s like an advanced accounting technology but in a global network and infinite application.
Just think about how you can apply blockchain in whatever industry you’re in. It’s just like how the internet is moving information from point A to point B but in this case the information shared with you especially monetary, are verified and true. Imagine the security it can provide to your business and your clients.
